I am a little scared to post this on here, because it sounds sooo gross. But it’s not! Nathan and I have made this a lot for dinner, and it is really good! So don’t knock it until you try it. 🙂 Anyway, my mom gave me this cookbook that is like a bazillion ways to make chicken, and we love this recipe.

1/4 C Dijon Mustard (Nathan and I don’t really care for dijon, so you can use spicy brown or just regular mustard as well)

1/4 C Maple syrup (it doesn’t have to be 100% maple syrup, but make sure it has real maple in it, otherwise it won’t turn out the same)

1/4 teaspoon chili powder (to taste)

4 chicken breast tenders (we like foster farms) cut into strips

8 bacon strips

Preheat Broiler. Combine mustard, maple syrup and chili powder in medium bowl. Reserve half mustard mixture. Brush each chicken tender with remaining mustard mixture. Wrap 1 bacon strip around each tender.

Place chicken tenders, bacon ends down, on rack of broiler pan. Broil 5 inches from heat 4 to 5 minutes each side or until bacon is crisp and chicken is no longer pink in the center. Serve with reserved mustard mixture for dipping.

This recipe serves 4.

Also, don’t forget to line your Broiler pan with aluminum foil or you will be scrubbing that thing for hours!
