Not even kidding.. this lemon chicken really was the best!

So I just have to say really fast that I don’t know about you guys… but when I take pictures of food it just looks like a big mess, it must be because my food is real and not made of plastic in a florescent lighted room.

Dinner for two –

So You are going to need:

2 cloves of garlic

1 whole lemon

1T butter

1/4 C White wine – I love any kind of dry Riesling for cooking it is just SO rich!

salt and pepper

turn that skillet up to medium and drop the butter in, pour the wine in the skillet (do not wait for the butter to get warm to pour the wine in, you will get burnt!), once the butter is heated up enough to pan-fry (bubbling) grate your garlic over the skillet, rub the juice around in your lemon and slice it up, drop the peices into the skillet, add the salt and pepper let cook for about 2 minutes.

Get your chicken ready!

you’ll need

1/3 C Mayo

salt and pepper

1 T basil

1 T Parmesan cheese – you can use the green can or fresh

3t Garlic salt

Mix the mayo in a bowl with the salt, pepper, and basil. Spread the mayo mixture onto the side of your chicken facing up, then transfer the chicken to your skillet still facing up, sprinkle the parmesan cheese and garlic salt on top of the chicken, and then place a lid on the pan.. about 4 minutes on each side depending on thickness. and that’s it, you’re done!

This dish was a huge hit, and goes really well with my steamed spinach salad!
